Update

Hi everyone! I hope you all are doing well. I have been so busy with summer classes and work. I am working as a server at a restaurant in Rockville and I feel like I am working non-stop. I make a lot of money but sometimes I don't think it is worth it. I feel like I have no free time to enjoy my summer. I am either doing work for my two summer classes or I am at the restaurant. Anyway...you should feel really sorry for me.
However, in the recent free time I have had I have watched quite a few movies. There are two that I really enjoyed. Last weekend I watched a Lifetime movie called "Girl Positive," starring Jenny Garth. The movie tells the story of a high school senior who finds out she has HIV just from having a one night stand with her crush a few months earlier. This movie really got to me because I realized that anyone could contract HIV, not just drug users. I think this movie will be shown on Lifetime over the next few weeks---and I really recommend watching it. It's a sad but true story.
Also, on Friday I went to go see the movie, "Evening," starring Claire Danes, Meryl Streep and Streep's daughter Mamie Gummer. Although the movie was really drawn out and long, as well as a true chick flick, I left the theatre having cried a lot. Crying is a sign of a good movie to me. So, I recommend "Evening."
Just call me a movie critic. I am the next Joel Seigel!

I actually agree with Barbara Walters...wow

“Look, I’ve done prison interviews before, but people like the Menendez Brothers were really important news stories. This wasn’t. And even though I’d already written my questions, when all that pay-for-play stuff happened, I suddenly felt this was not up to my standard. It . . . felt . . . sort of . . . tawdry. The whole thing somehow was beneath me. Besides, it was a no-win. If I did a tough piece and her tears started to flow, it would be, ‘Oh, there’s Barbara Walters making people cry again.’ Too soft, and I’d be criticized. [ABC] they wanted it. For them it was ratings. For me it was respect. I’m fortunately at a point in my life where I can choose what I want, and this was solely my decision. But I must tell you how classy ABC was. They didn’t try to force me or say they’d place it on Nightline, or give it to someone else to do or any of the things they could have done. They respected my decision and walked away. Some agreed with my decision, some didn’t. For me it was just a question of respect.”

- Barbara Walters tells Cindy Adams of her decision not to interview Paris Hilton

You are above Paris Barbara....well most people are. An interview with Paris would just make her feel more important and not the waste of space that she is....

This quote comes from the Prophet Muhammad. I like this quote because I believe that being truthful and honest throughout one's life will help a person gain respect, love and many life-long friends. It's short and sweet but so true.

“Strive always to excel in virtue and truth.”- Prophet Muhammad

Favorite Quote of All Time!

Yes, I know I am such a girl:).....This quote comes from the popular HBO series "Sex and the City and pertains to one's relationship with others as well as with themself. I love it.

"There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous..."- Carrie Bradshaw, character in Sex and the City
